Robert Craggs Nugent, an Irish peer and M.P. for St. Mawes. Nugent has a huge hooked nose and fist outstretched. He was noted for his speeches in a rich brogue.  Walpole called him ‘a noisy vociferous and ridiculous Orator’
From a series of small, whole length caricature portraits of prominent members of the Whig Coalition and opponents of the American War. The inspiration was apparently the ministerial changes of March 1782.
